Concerns About the Registered Behavior Technician

Abstract:
In this CEU event, Dr. Justin Leaf will be describing concerns with the Registered Behavior Technician™ (RBT®). The RBT® was created based upon the requests of stakeholders who wanted to credential those individuals who make direct contact with clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst®. There has been tremendous growth in the number of RBTs® with over 100,000 individuals certified to date. Despite the tremendous growth of the RBT there has historically been concerns about the RBT and these concerns are still present today. In this presentation Dr. Leaf will go over these concerns and provide solutions on a macro and micro level.
