Abstract:

This next chapter has a special guest appearance by the amazing Dr. Malika Pritchett! During this chapter Justin, Joe, and Malika will discuss coloniality, diversity, and social justice as it relates to applied behavior analysis (ABA). The discussion will include the applied nature of ABA, human rights trends in a prominent behavior analytic journal, considerations of coloniality within ABA, and diversity within and outside of ABA.

Learning Objectives: 

    1. At the completion of the training the audience members will identify the relationship between social justice and the applied dimension of applied behavior analysis.
    2. At the completion of the training the audience members will identify human rights trends within the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis.
    3. At the completion of the training the audience members will identify challenges related to coloniality within applied behavior analysis.
